In July of 2014, after careful research, Medicine Werx partnered with Trees for the Future to plant 10 trees for every pair of sunglasses we sell. This was an aspiration of ours for a long time, and it has finally come to fruition.
At Medicine Werx, our goal isn't to plant a certain number of trees, but rather to see how large of an impact our product can really make. The number of trees we have planted thus far is modest, but join our movement and watch it grow. Let's look back on this number together, while looking into the bright future through sweet Medicine Werx shades.

Who plants the trees; and where do these trees get planted?
We really have to give all the credit to our non-profit partner, Trees For The Future. Through our partnership, Medicine Werx donates a portion of your purchase to Trees For The Future in exchange for the planting of 10 trees. This offsets our carbon footprint and helps us reverse the negative ecological effects of our product.
Trees For The Future has used tree planting to support developing communities all over the world since 1989. Currently their tree planting programs have extended to:
Brazil, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mali, Philippines, Senegal, Tanzania, and Uganda
